Definitions of MA, LMHC, and CMHS

MA (Master of Arts):

LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor):

LMHCs are highly trained therapists with multiple degrees and years of hands-on clinical experience. CMHS (Center for Mental Health Services):
The CMHS is a federal agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It leads efforts to promote the prevention and treatment of mental disorders, strengthens the nation’s mental health system, and supports programs that improve the quality and availability of mental health services.
